About these terms

This website and its free tools are run by AV Designer Studio, a company registered in Ireland (company number [Company number]) at [Registered address]. In these terms, “we” and “us” mean AV Designer Studio.

By using the website you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it. The paid RoomSpec service will have its own subscription terms, which you’ll see before you sign up.

The free tools give estimates, not professional advice

The free tools are free to use, with no sign-up. Their results are estimates based on what you enter, rules of thumb and published guidance.

The results are not professional design advice. They don’t replace any of these:

• a site survey;
• makers’ datasheets;
• Microsoft Teams Rooms and Zoom Rooms platform requirements;
• building regulations and electrical standards;
• the judgement of a qualified professional.

You’re responsible for checking any result before you order equipment, quote for work or install anything.

Certified device information

Device certification details come from Microsoft’s and Zoom’s published lists. Those lists change often, so our information may be out of date. Always check the current official list before buying.

Product names and trademarks belong to their owners. Mentioning a product or brand doesn’t mean its owner endorses RoomSpec, or that we endorse the product.

RoomSpec’s designs are based on AVIXA guidance and best practice. AVIXA is a trademark of AVIXA, Inc. RoomSpec is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by AVIXA.

Using the website

You may use the tools for your own work, and use their results in your own designs, quotes and client proposals. You may share links to any page.

You must not:

• try to gain unauthorised access to the website or the systems behind it;
• interfere with how the website works, or put it under unreasonable load, for example with automated requests;
• copy the tools, their content or their data in bulk, or use them to build a competing product;
• upload anything harmful, such as malicious code.

Who owns the website

We own the website, the tools, and their text, design and code, or we use them with permission. Apart from what these terms allow, you may not copy, republish or sell any of it without our written permission. RoomSpec is our trade name.

The waitlist

Joining the waitlist doesn’t commit you or us to anything. We’ll confirm the details of any founding-member offer, including the price, in writing before you pay anything.

Changes to the website

The website is provided free of charge. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it at any time, without notice.

Links to other websites

Links to other websites are there for your convenience. We don’t control those websites and aren’t responsible for their content.

Our liability

The website and tools are provided free of charge and “as is”. As far as the law allows, we give no guarantees about them, including that they are accurate, complete or available.

As far as the law allows, we aren’t liable for any loss that comes from using the website or relying on its results. That includes:

• loss of profit, revenue, business, contracts or data;
• the cost of equipment ordered or work carried out.

If we are found liable despite this, our total liability to you is limited to €100.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn’t allow us to limit or exclude. If you’re a consumer, your statutory rights are not affected.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, we’ll change the date at the top. If you keep using the website after a change, you accept the updated terms.

Law and courts

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the courts of Ireland have exclusive jurisdiction. If you’re a consumer, you may also be able to bring a claim in the courts of the country where you live.
